Recognition should not be considered a perk in a company and relegated to the hand-picked few.  Instead, it should be the foundation that a company builds its staff upon.  A corporate culture founded on recognizing outstanding effort will reap immeasurable rewards for the company’s retention rates, employee satisfaction and customer satisfaction.  Companies who embark on a rewards and recognition program should make sure to communicate the program to all levels of the organization; make rewards personal to the recipient; look for the little ways to call out achievements; and extend the recognition beyond the company walls to show appreciation for suppliers and vendors.  Read full article.
